The Golden Yacht (The Great Yacht, The New Yacht) 17th century armed yacht from Brandenburg

This vessel, also known as the "Great Yacht"or "New Yacht", was built  in Kolberg in 1678-1679 by the shipbuilder Peckelherius (Peckelhering) who based on the yacht of Prince wilhelm III of Orania. The yacht was armed with 8 canons. The crew consisted of 12 men, and could be enlarged up to 50 men in the case of war. There´s no much informatiotion about the activities of The Golden Yacht within the Brandenburg Fleet. She was stationed in the harbour of Pilau then till 1700 in Berlin and later in Emden where she war wrecked.

Made of 14 different diameters of yarn.

Ornaments:

Moulded of epoxy resin and gildet whit brass powder. Flat reliefs made of brass plate by photo-tecnic etching.

Abot 750 hours
